As proud sponsors of the Greenford Quay Canal Festival, we’re hosting three garden workshops that will teach you how to grow food and plants from scraps, how to beautify your urban space in a sustainable way or how to take inspiration from Japanese garden art for your house plants. Closing the Loop! Microgreens and Kimchi
How to reuse food waste by making compost tea, grow from food scraps & learn to propagate our throwaways to grow new plants, learn to grow microgreens and make kimchi

Rebel Gardening – Seed bombs! (16yrs+)
Guerilla gardening’ can be an easy, low cost way to beutify a neighborhood and increasie biodiversity in an urban area that may otherwise be unloved and unused. Uncover the history ofmovement, some of the reasons why it takes place and learn to make seed bombs and paper seed pots.
Time: 1.30pm – 3pm

Hosueplants – Kokedama Workshop (16yrs +)
What is a Kokedama? Literally translates from “koke” meaning moss and “dama” meaning ball. It is a form of Japanese garden art that is centuries old and tied into the practice of bonsai. Create a moss ball as the supporting point for your chosen plant or tree to take home!
